Detective Conan (also known as
Case Closed in the US) is a popular Japanese anime depicting the story of a young, 17 years old, and very talented detective, Shinichi Kudo. He's so good that he's often asked to help solve Police cases.
However, after an unfortunate event, he's one day transformed back into a 7 years old child after being hit on the head from behind by a man in black who then forced him to take a poison (that normally should have killed him instead). Keeping his identity secret from most of the people he knows (to protect them) and taking the pseudonym Conan Edogawam, he'll try his hardest to trace back the organization of that man in black to hopefully, one day, regain is true appearance.
Until that day comes, he's staying with his childhood and best friend Ran Mouri and her father's who also a detective (but a lousy one) in the hope to learn more about the organization. Throughout the episodes, he'll be using many gadgets at his disposal to solve cases after cases and most of the time on behalf of Ran's father (by putting him to sleep then simulating his voice with a special bow-tie).
